Trovare Design Favorite Place

My favorite place in the world is Hotel Du Cap Eden Roc, located on the southern tip of Cap D'Antibes, France.  This hotel is the echelon ofluxury and privacy, considered by many to be the most romantic place onearth.  A quiet refuge away from the world, with exquisite Chateau decor. This heaven is a muse for any artist or designer. Don't becaught on the terrace wearing anything short of Missoni or Hermes.… Continue

Trovare Design Spotlight in Textiles

There is nothing more exhilarating in design than making the big statement. A dramatic, eye drawing visual whether it's done using bright color, sharp contrast, large scale or provocative compositions, it's definitive and always effective. The designs that fail are those in which the creator did not have the moxy to "go all in" and settles for a tepid version of what their heart had originally imagined. MissMolly Beatles Chairs, anyone?

Beatles music was blasting in my local Starbucks today and I thought of these really cool Beatles chairs I've just seen on Andrew Martin's site. If you are not familiar with Andrew Martin, he's an UK-based designer and does very quirky work with pop arts.

You can see more of his…

Grayson My favorite places to shop and eat in LA.

I'm a LA native. It's a rare species, I know, since most people in LA are usually from somewhere else, and if they were from here originally, they tend to move elsewhere after a while.

I think LA gets a really bad rep, mainly because it is so spread out, most visitors don't know what LA really is. You land at the airport and the first thing you think is, man , it's butt-ugly. You get on the freeways and it usually takes you an hour…
